Brooklyn,
NY—Just four months after the overwhelming success of his
second solo show, Bret Reilly debuts at Jan Larsen Art in DUMBO
with a larger-than-life reflection on the resiliency of the human
spirit, particularly in the 5-year wake of 9/11.
Reilly’s elephants, powerful and resilient, are the triumphant
metaphors for New Yorkers: both have survived attacks by the world’s
poachers. His herd represents the strength and courage that exists
with unity, while also glorifying the sensitivity and delicacy of
individualism when each animal is severed from its family.
